First Post!

Hello!

I should probably start off by introducing myself. My name is Gabrielle, and I live in beautiful (mostly) sunny California. While my blogger name and the title of this blog may be in French, rest assured that my posts will always be primarily in English, though I can't promise that a bit of Franglais won't slip in (I'll always translate if I do). I'm a fourth year French major, and history minor, so a lot of my time is spent speaking, thinking, and writing in a completely different language. Yes, this also means that I may slip in a bit of Medieval, Early Modern, or Renaissance knowledge where applicable.

I've started this blog because while there may be numerous talented make-up artists and enthusiasts on the web, there is always room for new ideas and opinions. I was inspired to start this blog (and future video tutorials) because I can't always find certain colors I'm looking for when trying to figure out what to do with all these colors. I'm the type of girl who loves to nab limited edition colors from different brands like MAC, Benefit, Urban Decay etc... the problem with this is that due to the limited availability not many (if any) of the people doing tutorials and blogs have these colors. I like to find looks by googling the specific names, and rarely ever find more than swatches for these elusive limited editions. So if you're like me and you purchased a limited edition eyeshadow or palette without knowing exactly what you were going to do with it, I'm here to try to help.

Some of the looks I will do will contain these near-impossible to find colors, as well as many brand staples. Feel free to tell me about your LE colors, and if I don't have them I will do my best to find dupes and come up with something.

This blog is for fun and fostering my creativity and in the best possible world, yours as well. I don't expect to please everyone, if I make one person happy, that will be enough for me.

I hope you like what I have to offer.

My first look is to come later today.
